Disease presentations will take place in the mornings as well, followed by information on treatment technologies and innovations in the afternoon.
Sessions will focus on Alzheimer's disease, autoimmune disorders, cancer and stem cells. Hans Keirstead and Peter Donovan, co-directors of UCI's Sue & Bill Gross Stem Cell Research Center, are among the conference's presenters.
The event kicks off at 8 a.m. Monday at the Arnold & Mabel Beckman Center of the National Academies of Sciences & Engineering.
