The Irvine based electronics giant VIZIO Inc. unveiled its new line of PCs in time for holiday shopping. The long-time HDTV manufacturer recently branched out into the computer, laptop and tablet market.

VIZIO’s latest PC line includes the new 24” and 27” All-in-One Touch PCs with 1080p 10-finger touchscreen displays and 2.1 audio system, alongside two Intel Ultrabooks and VIZIO’s 14” and 1.6” Thin + Light Notebook. The Notebook features an enhanced multi-gesture touchpad, allowing users to use the same gestures as they would on the desktops. The computers come designed with Microsoft’s latest operating system, Windows 8, in mind.

The new line of PCs’ functionality revolves around the user with 3rd generation Intel core processors, the latest touchscreen and touchpad displays and technologies. Matt McRae, Chief Technology Officer for VIZIO explained the user-friendliness of the new computers. “The new All-in-One Touch PCs with Windows 8 are extremely user friendly, bringing both entertainment and power to the user’s fingertips,” said McRae. “We focused on delivering an enhanced touchscreen and touchpad experience so users can utilize multi-gesture touch operations however they’re the most comfortable.”

VIZIO’s HDTV background comes into play in its newest product line, in the PCs’ high picture quality, contrast and wider viewing angles with the custom-tuned SRS Premium Sound HD audio system. For users with needs for enhanced graphics, select models feature NVIDIA Kepler Class GeForce GPU graphics.

John Case, vice president of Worldwide OEM Marketing for Microsoft explained his excitement in working with VIZIO. “It’s impressive to see VIZIO bringing its expertise in consumer devices to PCs with HD quality display and premium audio that will provide a rich experience for customers.”

The All-in-One Touch PCs start at $998, while the Thin+Light Notebooks start at $849. The 15.6” Notebook with maximum performance and full HD display starts at $1,129.
