VIZIO 8-inch tablets updated to receive Netflix app
Netflix app enables subscribers to instantly stream movies on their tablet

As a response to the popularity of video streaming and as a particular bonus to Netflix subscribers, Irvine-based LCD HDTV company VIZIO has announced a firmware upgrade to all of its 8” tablets that will pre-load the devices with the Netflix app. Netflix subscribers can log in to their Netflix account through the app and obtain instant access to their movie and TV queue.
Instant streaming of Netflix movies and TV episodes is available on the tablets wherever a Wi-Fi connection is detected. Tablet users who also own a VIZIO Internet Apps-enabled HDTV and Blu-ray player can pause a movie on their tablet and switch devices to resume watching it on their TV.
VIZIO chief technology officer Matt McRae said, "With an abundance of movies and TV shows to offer, Netflix is the ideal application to pre-load on our VIZIO Tablets. Adding its expansive library to our mobile platform provides consumers with even more entertainment options to conveniently watch while in the comfort of one's home or while on-the-go."
