VIZIO announced today that according to preliminary second quarter 2009 reports compiled by El Segundo-based iSuppli, is again the first in shipping of LCD HDTVs in the U.S. At 21.7 percent, VIZIO’s shipments indicate a 165 percent increase over their 2008-second quarter unit sales. VIZIO continues to benefit from its combination of full-featured, value sets with its high-volume retail channels," says Riddhi Patel, principal analyst, television, for the market research firm iSuppli Corp. "The company seems to have found the right balance between features and price that appeals to many consumers."
