Irvine-based consumer-electronics company VIZIO is moving forward with plans to boost its retail presence in Canada. The HDTV-maker recently launched a new Web site unique to its Canadian customers, and the firm is expanding its retail product distribution throughout the country.
VIZIO’s new site features the company’s “Where Vision Meets Value” message and is available in both English and French.
The new site’s launch coincides with VIZIO’s ongoing effort to make its TVs and associated products (wall mounts, cables, wall-shelf units, sound systems and such) available through a greater number of Canadian retailers. The firm's products are now available at Costco, Costco.ca, Wal-mart and Dell.ca.
"As our North American neighbor, we recognize that Canada is an extremely important market for VIZIO,” says Steven Joe, vice president of VIZIO International. “Our goal is to … become a key provider of HDTVs and electronics throughout the country. This is an excellent opportunity to further strengthen our network of successful global partnerships.”
Maker of the top-selling brand of flat-panel HDTVs in North America, VIZIO received a No. 1 ranking in Inc. 500’s Computers and Electronics category and was named among Ad Age’s Hottest Brands, CNET’s Top Holiday Gifts and a PC World’s Best Buy, among other honors.
