Valeant moves forward with expansion, continued ...
The move follows a number of recent efforts from the firm to expand its reach internationally. Among them: Valeant is acquiring Private Formula International Holdings Pty Limited, and through it, the rights to the Dr. LeWinn's brands, Hissyfit and Revitanail for $69 million. That transaction will increase Valeant's presence in the Australian skincare market.
The newest deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2010.
Valeant also plans to release its third quarter results on Nov. 2.
Valeant is a multinational specialty pharmaceutical firm that develops, manufactures and markets a broad range of products for neurology and dermatology.
