![]() Fitness expert and owner Zeena Dhalla said the time is right for the studio opening. “I am an entrepreneur in my soul, and I’ve been formulating this new studio for years now. We are the first [studio] of its kind and it’s thrilling to be at the forefront of what I believe to be a revolutionary new way to gain strength, flexibility, body awareness and core control,” Dhalla said. The CoreAlign machine utilizes two carts set on two tracks, which move independently with resistance or assistance, and are set with six elastic resistance bands on each cart. This provides a great core and deep stretch workout with minimal impact on the joints and lower back. “The CoreAlign machine, which is the equipment we utilize to bring the Pilates practice upright, has now been on the market for a few years. People are starting to know what it is and I felt it was time to bring the power of this training methodology to the general public. Also the timing works great from an economic standpoint: people are starting to spend money again.” The Vertical Pilates studio offers both individual sessions and group classes, which have a maximum of 4 people in a class. The classes run for five-week segments, two times a week. After the five-week period, clients progress to a new phase of exercises that builds on the last set. The classes begin with teaching the foundations, so they are appropriate for all levels. The new business opens its doors Saturday, Feb. 2, with a grand opening from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Attendees can try a free 30-minute workout on the CoreAlign, and all session packages will be offered at 20 percent off during event; attendees who sign up for a session or package will receive a free pair of ToeSox. Attendees must reserve appointment times by calling 949.464.8378 or click here.
