![]() R.I.P.P.E.D. stands for Resistance, Interval, Power, Plyometrics, Endurance and Diet, and it is a comprehensive program designed and taught by three dynamic fitness veterans: Alex Isaly, Anna-Rita Sloss and Terry Shorter, who all have extensive competitive fitness and national media credentials. The launch of the program coincided with the opening of Renaissance Club Sport in Aliso Viejo. A revolutionary concept, Renaissance is a huge, ultra-modern fitness center located inside a luxury hotel. The Club has six group fitness studios, state-of-the-art cardiovascular and circuit training machines, a gymnasium, court-sport facilities, an aquatics center and Kids World. R.I.P.P.E.D. classes are fun, energetic and beyond challenging. If you’re a beginner, don’t be deterred; this team of trainers will cheer you on and help you every step of the way. “The concept came about when the three of us got together to come up with a unique, effective concept,” says Isaly. “We wanted the format to be broad-spectrum and time-efficient, with most classes lasting just 50 minutes.” Isaly estimates that 600 to 700 calories are burned in those 50 minutes. The team just launched a R.I.P.P.E.D. boot camp, which sets up the participants with workouts and an eating plan. “We’re just one week in,” says Isaly. “And our group is having its first weigh-ins.
