![]() 1. Working your body doesn’t have to involve a mile run or a bike ride. Just a few stretches while waiting at the airport can go a long way. 2. A 30-minute program will have about nine minutes of commercials. That can be 200 sit-ups. 3. Is it a stretch to exercise while working out your pearly whites? Prop a foot up on the counter or bathtub and stretch your hamstrings and brush at the same time. 4. Stability balls are resourceful and affordable ($20). It’s impossible not to exercise when sitting on one. 5. Wake up 15 minutes early to go to an exercise class, even if you can’t stay the entire time. Take advantage of workplace opportunities: yoga classes and jogging sessions, for example. 6. Before you shower, swim a few simple strokes in the pool. In O.C., pools are as easy to find as your local Starbucks. 7. Do two exercises back-to-back that work the same muscles (i.e. lifting arm weights and then doing pull-ups). 8. Keep tennis shoes in your trunk and take advantage of lunch breaks. 9. Find time to spend with the family or friends and work out all in one. Play baseball, throw a Frisbee or go on a bike ride. 10. Choose five different spots in your home or at the office and select a simple exercise for each room. Make it a point to stretch your sides in the kitchen or do a few lunges in the copy room. |
