The campus offers areas with wireless Internet access and open
gathering areas for students, often with computer workstations. The
open, flowing model was designed to encourage students to remain on
campus in order to meet and study with their classmates.
The
renovation of the building interior cost $3 million and future exterior
work could cost another $1 million. The campus currently occupies
43,000 square feet of the 100,000-square-foot site. WCU anticipates
that growth of student population and program expansion will result in
continued build-out of the space.
“With the continued demand
for health care professionals in California, we anticipate steady
growth at our campuses,” says Ryan. “The North Hollywood campus has the
capacity to grow in order to meet future demand, and we anticipate
adding programs and classroom space to accommodate the growing number
of students who want to enter the health care industry and make a
difference in their community.”
