Costa Mesa-based West Coast University plans to offer a new Bachelor of Science program in Business Administration with an emphasis in health care management beginning in February of next year. The institution gained approval from the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to provide the degree at its L.A. and Ontario campuses.

West Coast University's program will help to prepare students who are interested in pursuing administrative business careers with hospitals, insurance companies and health care providers, says the school's Provost and Chief Academic Officer Jeb Egbert.

“West Coast University’s intensive, hands-on approach to health care education has provided California with many of its finest nurses and other health care professionals and now, we bring this same philosophy to our Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree program,” he continues.

The program will focus on traditional business-related classes including and will include basic courses from the institution's health care curriculum.
