The publication also produces the industry-respected Optimas Awards, now in its 20th year. Family-owned since 1916, Crain Communications is one of the largest privately held business publishers in the U.S., with nearly 30 business, trade and consumer publications and related Web sites in North America, Europe and Asia. Among the titles it produces: Advertising Age and Automotive News, which have become required reading in their respective sectors.
