Yamaha and GoPro team up for special promotion
GoPro HD cameras to be included in limited-time ATV deals.

Cypress-based Yamaha Motor Corp. U.S.A. has partnered with GoPro to offer a limited-time deal to the public as a special promotion. Customers who purchase a new Yamaha ATV 400cc and above before May 31 will receive a GoPro HD HERO2 Motorsports Edition, “the world’s most versatile camera”, free with their purchase.
The GoPro camera, which retails for $299, features high definition resolution 1080p video and 11 megapixel photos at 10 photos per second. The camera is also both waterproof and dustproof, and may be worn or mounted on a helmet or on the ATV.
Steve Nessl, Yamaha’s ATV/SxS group marketing manager, says the camera is used by Yamaha’s ATV team.
“We’ve used the HERO camera on motocross tracks, on trail rides, in the sand dunes and even when out hunting. It’s a great camera, and we expect this will be an exciting offer for motorsports and outdoor enthusiasts alike.”
Yamaha’s Dustin Nelson wears a GoPro camera while racing; he recently used one to film his record fifth championship at the 2011 QuadX Series Finale while riding his YFZ450R model.
