![]() The VAC is an organization that offers free air transportation to wounded veterans of Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan). Donations raised through this golf tournament will go towards the services required to maintain the network of aircraft owners and pilots required to provide this vital form of transportation. For the past four years, the Santa Ana-based charity has worked with VAC to provide fuel, flight services, crew and even insurance to help aid and assist injured servicemen and women who need medical treatment in facilities that may be located hundreds of miles away. “We are very passionate about the Veterans Airlift Command and the work they do to unite troops with their families,” said Rosemary Rose, chairman of the CCF Board of Directors. “We hope our golf tournament will raise awareness for their mission and provide funds to further the crucial work they are doing for injured Veterans.” The golf event will be held at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades on Oct. 17. Registration begins at 10 am. Cocktails, dinner and live auctions are to follow the charity tournament.
