Lisa Haines has been named vice president of public affairs at the Disneyland Resort.
Haines will now oversee external and internal communications, and government and community relations at the Anaheim destination, which spans 500 acres and includes two theme parks, three hotels and the Downtown Disney District. She will also serve as a member of Disneyland Resort President George Kalogridis' senior leadership team.
Haines will report to Kristin Wingard, senior vice president of public affairs for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.
“Lisa’s knowledge of the Disneyland Resort and our global business, extensive experience in developing public affairs strategies and proven ability to build relationships make her a perfect fit for the position – particularly during this time of resort expansion,” said Wingard.
Haines, who first joined The Walt Disney Co.'s staff in 2004, most recently held the role of vice president of communications at the resort. She also has served as vice president of external communications for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, where she worked with the local destination and other company spots across the globe.
Prior to joining Disney, Haines held the role of vice president of corporate communications at one of the country’s largest managed health-care groups, Health Net Inc., among other work.
