Downtown Disney to add two new shops

Downtown Disney in Anaheim will welcome footwear retailer Sanuk and BLINK, a denim apparel store, to its lineup of shopping, entertainment and dining options this spring.

“Both locations will provide our guests with distinctive products and are a great fit with our unique blend of ... offerings,” said Tony Bruno, vice president of Disneyland Resort hotels and Downtown Disney.

Founded by Southern California native Jeff Kelley, Sanuk offers a selection of innovative, funky footwear for the outdoor community, using materials such as yoga mats and indoor-outdoor carpet in its products. The brand last year opened a pop-up shop at Downtown Disney – and the space's success has led to the larger permanent flagship store.

The new shop will offer the largest selection of products available outside the company's online store, and will feature flip-flops, surf sandals and Sanuk's most popular shoe, the Sidewalk Surfers – aka the “Not-A-Shoes.”

BLINK was created by Foothill Ranch-based teen retailer The Wet Seal Inc. as an extension of the brand. The new pop-up concept will offer the latest trends in denim, in addition to tops and accessories. BLINK also will feature "denim experts" who will provide customers with a high level of service and product knowledge.

“Opening Wet Seal’s concept shop BLINK in Downtown Disney, a major Southern California tourist destination, will be a great opportunity for the brand,” said Steve Benrubi, chief financial officer at The Wet Seal Inc. “We’re eager to feature our new location in the vibrant entertainment area of the resort, and expect that visitors will enjoy shopping a wide assortment of merchandise.”
