Ernst & Young unveils Entrepreneur of the Year O.C. program winners
5 business professionals received the accolade on Saturday.

Five local business execs took home Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Orange County region on Saturday during a gala event held at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach.
Aliso Viejo-based Clarient's Ronnie Andrews, Buena Park-based Dr. Fresh's Puneet Nanda, Orange-based Insight Investments' Richard Heard, and Spectrum Pharmaceuticals' Rajesh Shrotriya and gkkworks' Praful Kulkarni, both of Irvine, were selected from a field of 15 finalists by an independent judging panel based on their achievements in innovation, financial success, and their commitment to their businesses and the O.C. community.
The winners were honored in categories such as life sciences, business services and retail.
The regional winners will be eligible for consideration for the national award, which will be unveiled in November, and that honoree will go on to compete for the World Entrepreneur of the Year title. The Entrepreneur of the Year program, now in its 25th year, recognizes business leaders in more than 140 cities and more than 50 countries around the globe.
