Former Tustin Mayor Jeffery M. Thomas has joined the Sunwest Bank Board of Directors.
Thomas served as a Tustin City Councilman and mayor from 1992 to 2004. During his tenure, Thomas led negotiations for The District at Tustin Legacy, among other feats. He is currently the Western region vice president of marketing for Sage Advisory Services.
“Jeffery brings a unique skill set of extensive financial expertise to our board, as well as a record of success as a dedicated and effective public servant and politician,” says Glenn Gray, president and CEO of Sunwest Bank, which is headquartered in Tustin. “He is a respected public figure throughout the state of California and has been an integral part of Orange County’s success and growth.”
Thomas has held numerous public positions throughout the region and the state. Among them: He was appointed to the County of Orange Treasurer’s Advisory Committee, the County of Orange Treasure Oversight Committee, the California Debt and Investment Advisory Commission and the California Housing Partnership Corp.
He also currently serves on the Municipal Water District of Orange County Board of Directors. Thomas is the director of the 6th District, serving more than 2 million residents in 28 cities.
