![]() “What better place is there to learn from amazing businesses how you can adopt sustainable practices than by coming to the beach,” said Jerry Wheeler, president and CEO of the HBCOC. “Keeping this beautiful environment intact for future generations is the end game. The Green Expo is our commitment to showing many different ways to achieve this.” Over 50 local venders will showcase their “green” products and services. Each of the vendors was required to meet an efficiency standard in one of the following categories: energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, greenhouse gas reduction, organic products promotion or green educational books/materials production. Vendor types range from non-profits and nature reserves, to businesses that sell furniture, clothing, food, paper and vehicles. Architectural, solar and agricultural industries will have a vendor as well. Live entertainment will be featured at the expo, including artists creating chalk murals and sand sculptures, acoustic music and giveaways.
