The Irvine Health Foundation tonight will honor four Orange County nonprofits and agencies for their contributions to the health and wellness of local residents.

Costa Mesa-based Share Our Selves will receive the Irvine Health Foundation Prize of $150,000, which is bestowed upon a nonprofit that demonstrates success and innovation while promoting health, insuring accessible medical services and supporting research in the field, among other work.

Santa Ana’s MOMS Orange County and Garden Grove’s Healthy Smiles for Kids of Orange County will each receive $50,000 finalist awards.

In addition, the Irvine Health Foundation Anniversary Prize will be bestowed upon the Health Funders Partnership of Orange County to recognize its collaborative efforts in advancing the availability of health care in the community.

The award commemorates the 25th anniversary of the Irvine Health Foundation, a private, grant-making nonprofit that seeks to promote health and wellness in O.C.

“The organizations receiving these recognitions serve nearly 100,000 residents annually,” said Ed Kacic, President and CEO of Irvine Health Foundation. “They are developing truly inventive health-care models for the county and attracting hundreds of medical and professional volunteers to provide services to the uninsured. They greatly impact the stability and health of our community.”

The prizes will be awarded tonight at the Pacific Club in Irvine at 6 p.m.
