The Irvine Public Schools Foundation is gearing up for its Dream Stakes Home Raffle celebrating the Best of the O.C. Organizers of the seventh annual event have announced this year's lineup of prizes, and the winning ticket gets a nearly 1,450-square-foot home at 3000 The Plaza, a luxury high-rise condominium tower in Irvine. The development boasts O.C.’s only rooftop pool, a 24-hour lobby ambassador and on-site retail establishments. The residence is valued at more than $700,000, and the winner can opt for $500,000 in cash instead. The foundation helps fund enrichment programs within the Irvine Unified School District, which is currently facing a more than $20 million budget shortfall, and organizers hope to sell 15,000 tickets in an effort to curb the deficit. Tickets cost $150, and those interested are encouraged to purchase early for a chance to win prices such as $10,000; a year of free rent at the luxury apartment community The Park at Irvine Spectrum Center (left); a new BMW; or an “OCeanfront” vacation at one of six of the region's coastal resorts, including the Montage Laguna Beach and the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel. The first drawing takes place April 15.Other prizes include dinner for eight hosted by Chef Cathy Pavlos at Irvine’s Lucca Café and four rounds of golf at the Pelican Hill Golf Club.
