Saturday marks the last day to win an oceanfront vacation at 6 O.C. resorts

The Irvine Public Schools Foundation's Dream Stakes Home Raffle is heating up as the agency prepares to give away another big-ticket item and preps for its upcoming "tweetup" event.

Saturday marks the last day to enter to win an oceanfront vacation at six O.C. resorts as part of the raffle, which raises much-needed funds for the Irvine Unified School District. The prize features a night, spa treatment and dinner at the Montage Laguna Beach, The Ritz Carlton-Laguna Niguel, The Balboa Bay Club & Resort in Newport Beach, the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa, the Surf & Sand Resort in Laguna Beach and the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach. The drawing will take place July 2.

The offering is the most popular in the raffle's seven-year history, according to IPSF CEO Neda Zaengle, who was among OC METRO's 2010 20 Women to Watch honorees.

“It’s such a cool prize and offers the winner a free taste of the best resort hotels in Orange County,” she said.

This is the second to last early-bird prize available to participants. Next month, the foundation will be raffling off a year of free rent at the new apartment community The Park at Irvine Spectrum Center.

The best part? Those who enter the early-bird raffle will also be eligible to win the grand prize: a condominium at the luxury high-rise 3000 The Plaza in Irvine valued at $700,000, or $500,000 in cash. Tickets costs $150. For more information, visit irvinedreamstakes.com.

In addition, the foundation is hosting a free "tweetup" at The Park at Irvine Spectrum Center on June 24. Those who attend will get a sneak peek of Style Week OC while sampling cuisine from the Veggie Grill, California Pizza Kitchen and BoardWalk Bars, among other offerings. Prizes such as dinner for eight at Lucca Cafe in Irvine and a year of free car washes from Pacific Auto Spa will also be raffled off. For more information, click here.

The Irvine Public Schools Foundation was founded in 1996 with the goal of raising funds to support fine-arts, math, science and after-school or summer-enrichment programs at the Irvine Unified School District, which is currently facing a $20 million budget deficit.
