![]() The prescription eye-care-treatment firm, which signed an 84-month lease on the property, has "outgrown" its five facilities and two suites on Alton Parkway, according to ISTA. The company saw its revenues increase more than 930 percent between 2005 and 2009. ISTA reported $111 million in revenues last year, and the firm employs a total of 327 staffers, 137 of whom are based in Irvine. “In the last few years, we have established ISTA Pharmaceuticals as a successful and rapidly growing specialty pharmaceutical business,” said Vicente Anido Jr., Ph.D., president and CEO of ISTA. The new space will allow the company to consolidate its administrative, sales and marketing, clinical, development, regulatory and general operational divisions "under one roof," and it will support ISTA's continued growth efforts, said Anido. “We now have four thriving prescription eye-care products and one prescription allergy eye drop," he said. "Beyond the marketed products, we are moving potential new drugs successfully through the product pipeline, including product candidates to treat dry eye and nasal allergies."
