![]() Lake City. Passengers can access the new area through Terminal A. “Opening of the new North Commuter Terminal gets us one step closer to completing our Airport Improvement Program,” Jenny Wedge, a spokesperson for JWA, told OC Metro. Airport reps said Delta passengers were among the first to utilize the new gate counters and view flight information on flat panel screens being installed throughout the Thomas F. Riley Terminal. “We are excited to debut a new commuter terminal featuring the newest amenities in technology – flat panel, easy-to-ready flight information displays – and give our passengers a new waiting area at their gate that is bright and spacious, a glimpse of what travelers can expect when we are finished with Terminal C and the south commuter terminal,” said Wedge. The construction of the new terminal is part of a larger improvement program at JWA, which started in 2006. The major addition to the airport is Terminal C, along with improvements to both Terminals A and B. Completion of the construction is expected this November.
