Auto dealers also receive a score between 1 and 5. Companies that garner a 3.8 or above are Certified Women-Drivers Friendly by the site. Mazda came in at No. 11 overall, garnering a rating of 4.03. Hyundai ranked No. 12 with a 3.94, and Kia came in at No. 20, with a 3.49. Kia and Mazda also ranked in the top 10 for purchasing and browsing. “Car manufacturers and dealerships that highly engage and support women during the purchase process are placing themselves in a strong position to convert more browsers to buyers, and, to get more referrals – all translating to increased sales," said Anne Fleming, president and car-buying advocate of Women-Drivers.com. Women make up more than half of all car purchases, and they influence and initiate about 80 percent, according to a statement from the site. The No. 1 overall brand was Mercedes, which garnered a rating of 4.68.
