The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) is teaming up with the OC Fair to bring back the OC Fair Express octa.net/ocfairexpress. The team will kick off this years express transportation by joining the OC Fair Food Truck for a food event that will promote OCTA’s transit service.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. this afternoon multiple food trucks will gather at the OC Fair and Event Center. OCTA staff will join attendees in spinning the OCTA prize wheel for a chance to win Disneyland tickets, movie passes, OC Fair Express tickets, OCLink passes, and OC Fair Premiums.
For $1.50 each way, boarders can be dropped off and picked up from the OC Fair, which begins on Friday. All pre-paid OCTA passes and valid Metrolink fares will be accepted.
The OC Fair Express will provide non-stop direct service from six different Park and Ride lots to the OC Fair from July 15 to August 14, with buses running hourly from 3 p.m. to midnight on Fridays and 10 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays and Sundays. In addition, passengers will receive a $2 OC Fair admission coupon.
“We are glad to be participating with the Orange County Transportation Authority on this promotion. Not only does it provide an easy way to get to the OC Fair, it also provides a great value to our Fair visitor,” says Dr. Steven Beazley, OC Fair and Event Center president.
