Irvine-based oGoing launches real-time communications network

Platform transforms the way businesses connect, collaborate.

Irvine-based oGoing Inc., a social media platform for businesses, is launching its real-time communications network at TiEcon 2010, the word’s largest entrepreneurial conference.

The event is being held Friday and Saturday at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Attendees will be offered a free 60-day test drive of the platform.

Companies may choose to keep the platform as a means of internal communication or use it as an external outreach while maintaining privacy. The program is hosted, managed and supported by oGoing.

"oGoing real-time social communications network fundamentally changes the way companies connect, communicate and collaborate internally, and externally with their ecosystem of communities, prospects, customers, partners and suppliers," said Sanjay Dalal, CEO of oGoing.

Company reps say the service opens the collaborative pathways, increasing their customers’ overall productivity.

The following features are available on the oGoing network: updates, profiles, microblogging, real conversations, direct messages, likes and shares, trends, groups, multiple accounts, file sharing, image sharing, categories and RSS feeds, among other offerings.

oGoing’s software has been in development for the last year, with the company officially launching in April. Dalal is slated to speak at an Irvine Chamber of Commerce event in June, as well as other venues in the county.
