![]() The event, titled Small Businesses: Driving America’s Economy, will be held at the Embassy Suites-South Anaheim location at 10:30 a.m. Three district, four regional, one Small Business Person of the Year finalist and two state winners came from SBA’s Santa Ana chapter, including the California Small Business Person of the Year, awarded to Hal Hays Construction in Riverside. Two Orange County firms are among the honorees: Richard Ganulin of Irvine-based Pacific Enterprise Bank garnered the Financial Services Champion of the Year distinction, and Robert Morrow of Stanton-based Morrow Cable Construction netted the Region IX Veteran Small Business Champion of the Year award. Remaining honorees include: CJW Construction, Inland Empire Small Business Development Center, Stronghold Engineering, Southern California Edison, Clear Blue Promotions, Pacific Enterprise Bank, Upside Thinking and Inland Empire Women’s Business Center. Honorees will go on to compete for national recognition. The Small Business Administration's Santa Ana chapter offers programs and services to Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties. The region composes more than 16 percent of the total California business population with more than 600,000 firms.
