Smile Brands Inc. is relocating its national headquarters from Santa Ana to a 15-story office tower in the Irvine Spectrum. The dental services provider has signed a lease to occupy nearly 50,000 square feet at 8105 Irvine Center Drive, according to a statement from the Irvine Co. Office Properties.

Approximately 230 of Smile Brands' employees will be housed in the new space, which includes the entire 15th floor and a portion of the first.

“Not only is the building attractive, but it also offers us tremendous workspace flexibility, a key factor as the company continues to evolve," said Bill McCarthy, the company's senior vice president of Real Estate and Facilities Development. "The Smile Brands’ mission is to deliver Smiles for Everyone, whether that’s doctors, their patients, vendors, investors or employees. Providing a highly collaborative and productive environment is one way we can deliver on this promise."

Smile Brands' services support more than 1,100 dentists and hygienists in more than 300 Bright Now! Dental, Monarch Dental and Castle Dental locations in 17 states. The firm and its affiliated dental offices employ 4,200 staffers nationwide.

The Irvine Spectrum location is ideal for Smile Brands' "dynamic corporate culture," added Steve Case, executive vice president of Irvine Co. Office Properties.

“Smile Brands is a rapidly expanding company that is highly regarded not only throughout California, but nationwide," he said, "and we're very pleased to welcome them as a new client."

Other firms in the Irvine Spectrum area include Verizon Wireless, Blizzard Entertainment and Taco Bell, among others.
