![]() Titled "How to Work Smarter," the sold-out event will offer tips and tools to help local professionals boost their businesses – a subject Johnson, CEO of Irvine-based Susan's Healthy Gourmet, LifeSpring Home Nutrition and Xan Confections, knows a little something about. "It's an honor to be asked to speak to a group of outstanding fellow professionals in Orange County's thriving women's business community," says Johnson. "I look forward to sharing my experiences and passion for business I've cultivated throughout my 15 years as an entrepreneur." Johnson will discuss her strategies for growing her companies and improving her bottom line. She founded Susan's Healthy Gourmet in 1996, which specializes in balanced, calorie-controlled meals that are delivered twice a week to homes and businesses in the Southern California region. From there, Johnson partnered with her daughter Kerry Johnson Anthony, who currently serves as president of Susan's Healthy Gourmet, on a number of initiatives. In 2003, Johnson acquired LifeSpring Home Nutrition, which offers affordable frozen meals to seniors through a number of regional agencies. Johnson and her daughter, along with chocolatier Tracey Downey, also launched Xan Confections last year. The company offers all-natural, artisan chocolates that are non-dairy, gluten-free, vegan and low calorie, among other products. Johnson's address will be given during the luncheon. The 2010 Women's Business Conference will also offer breakout seminars that will discuss sales and marketing and improving leadership skills. Proceeds will benefit Girls Inc.
