The UC Irvine Extension has received three honors from the Internet Marketing Association (IMA) for its quality internet marketing programs, including Best Internet Marketing Academic Program, Best Website Overall Content and Best Webinar Content.
The Best Internet Marketing Academic Program was awarded to the school’s Internet Marketing certificate program, which educates students on how to develop marketing techniques, acquire clients and provide superior customer service. Best Website Overall Content was given to the extension’s “easily accessible” OpenCourseWare portal, while the webinar called “The Power of Transmedia Storytelling: Persuasive Communications Across Emerging Technologies” was named Best Webinar. The course focuses on different types of storytelling, including narrative and persuasion, as well as traditional and new media technologies.
"Given the incredible number of submissions, having our top-notch programs and content recognized for being the best academic program, website content and webinar content by the IMA is truly an honor,” said Gary Matkin, UC Irvine dean of Continuing Education, Distance Learning and Summer Session. “These awards reflect our commitment to providing marketing professionals with the most up-to-date business strategies in the industry.”
