Costa Mesa-based action-sports brand Volcom has made two key moves to position itself for growth. Company veteran Ryan Immegart has been named vice president of marketing. And Troy Eckert will head up the firm's branding and marketing initiatives in Hawaii.

Volcom, which designs, markets and distributes men's and women's apparel and accessories, reported $64 million in consolidated revenue in the fourth quarter. Though the number is down slightly from the same time in 2008, the firm is projecting a jump in revenue as the year progresses. Volcom expects to garner between $71 million and $74 million in consolidated revenue in the first quarter.

“As part of Volcom’s strategic growth efforts, we see a great opportunity to leverage both Troy and Ryan’s strengths in new ways to capitalize on the momentum we are building for the Volcom brand on a global basis,” says company Chairman and CEO Richard Woolcott. "They have been entrenched in the action-sports industry for over 15 years and have helped to drive Volcom’s prominence worldwide."

Eckert, who currently serves as Volcom's executive vice president of marketing, will assume the newly created position of Hawaii strategic director and will relocate to the island in June. Eckert has been with the brand since 1991.

"Hawaii radiates outward to many different cultures, and it's very important to remain deeply rooted on all levels," says Eckert. "I've always had a strong connection and passion for Hawaii, and this move provdes me with an opportunity to develop innovative ways to further build our brand in this important and influential market."

Immegart came to the firm in 1992 as its first sponsored snowboarder, and since 1995, he has served as director of Volcom Entertainment, which he founded with Woolcott. He will assume his new role on May 15.
