Foothill Ranch-based Wet Seal Inc. has partnered with wireless retailer, Simplexity to launch a new in-store promotion. Wet Seal is offering a free Android Smartphone to every customer who tries on a pair of jeans. The offer will run until Aug. 15.
The campaign is part of the launch of Wet Seal’s new range of jeans. The Blue Asphalt label offers five fits: Fashionista, Uptown, Memphis, Showstopper and Stella. The jeans range from size 00 to 15 and come in three lengths, and company reps anticipate that they will be the perfect clothing option for every shopper.
Customers who try on a pair of jeans in-store will receive an information card outlining how they can redeem their smartphone with a new two-year plan plus data feature.
In addition, each phone will be equipped with Wet Seal’s mobile application, iRunway. The app enables users to search for outfits on the Wet Seal website and purchase directly from their phone. The app is also available for the iPhone and iPad.
“This promotion is the perfect way to launch our new denim shop and get the attention of our target customer,” said The Wet Seal Inc.’s CEO, Susan P. McGalla. “We are certain that [the customer] will want to try on our jeans because of the unbelievable phone offer. And, with an extensive assortment of fits and washes, we are even more certain that she will want to buy them once she has tried them on.”
