Irvine-based car research website zAutos recently launched a used-car portal to help consumers research and buy used vehicles. The feature, found by selecting the site’s “Find a Used Car” tab, allows shoppers to search for cars by make, model and year. Search results reveal comprehensive descriptions of thousands of autos, with details such as price, color, mileage and location, as well as photos. Every car’s history is available through a Carfax report, as well as a map of the seller’s location.
"The [used-car] application was designed to make it easy for consumers to shop for a pre-owned vehicle online,” said David Vennes, zAutos founder. “Our objective was to build a streamlined interface that was simple and intuitive, and we believe we accomplished that.”
The company plans to eventually include more than 1 million used cars in its database.
In addition to information about used cars for sale, zAutos provides auto industry news, as well as details to assist consumers in their search for a new car, including reviews of new models and a car purchasing guide.
